Erectile Dysfunction (ED or Impotence)



Erectile Dysfunction (ED / Impotence) is the inability of a man to hold or have an erection firm and long enough to have sexual intercourse. It may affect a healthy person from time to time and should not be worried about. However, if it becomes chronic and your sex life is affected, you should take it seriously. It may not be easy but you need to consult your doctor about it, mainly to rule out any underlying medical issues. Erectile Dysfunction (ED / Impotence) may be the consequence of diabetes, hypertension, etc. It is often the result of alcoholism and excessive smoking, or indulgence in other drugs. ED affects obese individuals more often. It may also happen temporarily due to stress or relationship issues. Treating the underlying disease or addiction and a healthier lifestyle and proper diet will usually rid you of the problem.

Male erection is a complex function which is achieved by proper interaction and working of the brain, hormones, blood supply, emotions, general health, psychological factors and physical and visual stimuli. Therefore, an issue with any of these factors can result in erectile dysfunction. Sometimes simple anxiety about being able to hold an erection, or performance anxiety may cause Erectile Dysfunction (ED). However, in addition excessive indulgence in sex, porn or masturbation may also cause non-medically treatable Erectile Dysfunction (ED) or impotence.

Too much porn, masturbation, oral sex, hand jobs, every type of sex where ejaculation takes place outside the vagina can lead you to Erectile Dysfunction (ED). In homeopathy the term used for any sexual act where ejaculation takes place outside the vagina is called “Onanism”. Nature has designed men to be able to have a proper erection for vaginal penetration and to be able to plant enough sperm far enough to be able to fertilize and thereby create life. The pleasure we get out of it is the candy nature dangles before you to procreate. However with the misplaced use of our intelligence we have made this pleasure an end in itself. The brain is our primary sex organ. It stores all the information about whether you have enough semen and sperm to be able to procreate. Accordingly, your system is triggered to send enough blood to your penis to have an erection. Your system is naturally trained to release sperm and semen only when you have enough supply and are in a position to penetrate a woman. However, by repeatedly ejaculating outside the vagina, and often with an incomplete erection, you are re-training your system to believe that it is alright to ejaculate even when the penis is not fully erect.

So, if you are otherwise healthy, are not using excessive alcohol or cigarettes and are physically fit, you can still reverse the dysfunction. You will also need to start retraining your system if it has been perverted by excessive exposure to porn and excessive masturbation or Onanism. To start with try to give up porn altogether. If it sounds too difficult, try not to masturbate when not with a woman and only ejaculate when inside the woman. If you are too addicted to masturbation and porn, then to start with reduce how often you watch porn and go through all the motions of masturbation but try to stop short of ejaculating. A good way to stop ejaculating is to masturbate with your perineum muscles pulled in. An easy way to isolate the muscles is to think of the muscles you use while stopping from urinating mid-stream. In the beginning you may not be able to stop every time, but with practice you will not learn the trick but will also strengthen the muscles. You can keep exercising your perineum muscles even while you are at work, watching television or sitting around with friends. Try to work these muscles as often as you can. As you get more control and confidence try to get an erection without any visual stimuli. Once you get an erection try to refrain from going thru to full masturbation and do not ejaculate. Initially you will get a partial erection and may not be able to hold yourself from ejaculating. Whenever you ejaculate try to refrain from sex or the exercise at least for a day before you try again. Keep in mind that you are re-training your system to ejaculate only when you have a full erection and only when you have enough supply of ejaculate. You will need to do this exercise over a long period of time, for a few months, remember what you are trying to reverse has got perverted over many years or decades of abuse. So be patient and regular and disciplined and you will definitely be able to reverse the worst case of Erectile Dysfunction (ED). In addition to the exercise you can take Ayurveda medicines like Shilajit.
